MASTERMATAZ – DANCE A GLOBAL PHENOMENON - by RingMaster
The musical adventurer is back, if already a fan you will relish the new journey MasterMataz invites
you on, and if new to the Londoner’s wizardry with sound, this is definitely the entry point to start
the ride.
Creating until something sounds good is not enough, nor moving it on a bit more, no, he pushes until
boundaries are stretched, realigned and nudged a little more and this new album is a fine example of
why and the wonderful results.
Sliding you in on a gentle sway and groove with the title track’s electronica delights, this album leads
you down many roads, exploring new avenues (such as dubstep) for the first time with tracks such as
‘Don’t No The Lingo, Just Close The Window’, taking you on highs with the awesome rock burst of
‘Busted By The Law At Breakfast’ to gliding you to chill out mode with the gorgeous ‘To The Promise
Land’.
Collaborations with many talented artists also bring extra dimensions to the gift of sound across the
15 tracks bulging out from this album, and though it is probably unfair to pick one out, I have to give
a mention for the track ‘Living Without You’ featuring Jenni French. With a voice to bring warm
tingles, the sexy groove of this slice of sound is pure magic.
Various times flavours of influences can be picked up on, I myself was taken to memories of bands
like Heaven 17, Dalek I Love You, Landscape and hints of more contemparies such as Hadouken, but
like spices they just added a taste to a unique new recipe of sound.
With humour, tragedy, sadness and joy within the songs you are touched beyond just your ears. This
is truly a treat of a musical adventure, a pleasure for ears, body and the soul. Don’t just take my word
for it go take a nibble, just one for before you realise that bite has led to a full taste and devouring of
the delights MasterMataz serves up..Do it! So Sayeth The Blue Clown!

- Dance a Global Phenomenon
It’s here It’s loud hitting your ear drums at full volume Just been Released (Dance a Global Phenomenon) by MasterMataz yes you got it the man is back with an outstanding production this time with some really mind blowing Collaborations With Artist like Tena Mosher who collaborated with MasterMataz on (Farewell Sweet Baby Lullaby) after he wrote a song about is daughter who had passed away some 14 years ago, Tena Mosher did not only help sing the song that MasterMataz wrote but she brought this whole song to life for him, Tena also helped in some of the production side of the song which really helped bring this song to whole another level. Please Check Tena Mosher Profile at the bottom of this article! And also to add to the mix of the new album it was at this point that MasterMataz decided to add to his armour of genre some cool Dubstep, And what a way to break in a new Genre then with another great talented artist this time collaboration would be with talented Jenni French and the song (Living Without You) lyrics by MasterMataz, This song really added flavour to the new album at tempo 140 which is around MasterMataz comfort zone when producing magic, That’s not to sayMasterMataz can’t adapt cause he can adapt very fast to many Genre and tempo, With outstanding performances I mean just take a look and listen to (Busted By The Law At Breakfast) where talking an alternative rock feel with a tempo around 120 the song just feel at its knees as though MasterMataz was the law enforcer to the song in a funny kind of away. Please Check Jenni French Profile at the bottom of this article! And there was also some really brilliant lyrics by Alan Jackson who wrote the song (Back To Front) MasterMataz actually did a really cool Hip Hop version of this song, But you wont find that version on this album, As MasterMataz felt that a Dubstep version of the song would be much better suited for the album. With that all said I do recommend checking the Hip Hop version here, Because this was MasterMataz first time at providing some vocals to his songs and the Hip Hop version is really by far the best version. And he did not stop there he also added the vocals to another great song on the album (Big Brother’s Watching You) this was done as an attempt to try and get the song added to the reality TV show Big Brother here in the UK, But did not realise at the time this was the last year in the reality TV show, As it is due to be axed this year, He gets so wrapped up in music he don’t get to see what is going down in the TV world, You never know some other country may take it up on there Big Brother Show. OK the song that came after the Big brother song was another great Collaboration with another talented artist none other then Booger from Booger and the Gumdrops better known as John MacDonald wow can he put a drum pattern together!!! The lyrics to this song are also by Alan Jackson and the Vocals are by MasterMataz It was just a very cool and productive collaboration by everyone involved! Please Check Booger’s Profile at the bottom of this article! The song (Don’t No The Lingo, Just Close The Window) it was really funny how this came about because it was meant for a song called You Always Shout another collaboration in the making with Jenni French which is a song that’s for another album! MasterMataz was just to do the vocals of the chorus of this song and why recording the vocal he found himself adding some cool cockney Rhyme and slang to his vocal part, Which worked really well on both songs! Now the last tune on the album was added to the album at the very last minute and really just in time for the distribution submission to the online stores, This was an idea I once had with my father In-Law he used to have this funny way of saying shut-up in a joking way, And I said to him you know what Tony you saying that would work very well in a song Idea I just had, Hey jumped at the idea of recording some ideas on this song, So we set out recording the ideas, Just like him to add a little extra flavour to the mix he did not stop at just aaaa shut-up he improvised very well, it was almost as if he done this for a living… Anyway kind of put this song to the back for a while as was really unsure what to do with the song.. And then on the day of the release of the new album, Could not believe My father In-Law passed away very sudden in hospital, it was so unexpected, So MasterMataz added the song as the very last track in the album as a way of remembering him and what they had both done together a short while before Song called (You don’t Know Me At All - Ft Tony Graham R.I.P) And this is how some of the great songs on this album come about! check the links if you are interested in buying the album
